The tables below describe all default key combinations and the actions they perform: - [Inserting a hyperlink in a message](https://rox.chat/kb/for-agents/online-work-with-visitors/hyperlink.html): Sometimes it becomes necessary to share an external page link with a visitor - for example, when they are interested in the details of the cost of services and you want to send them a link to a page with a detailed price list. To avoid cluttering the message with long links, you can instead insert hyperlinks, that is, make any word or part of a sentence a link. - [Create notes about visitors](https://rox.chat/kb/for-agents/online-work-with-visitors/notes.html): Sometimes there is a need to briefly convey information about a certain chat, without having to rewrite the entire conversation with the client. This is especially useful when transferring the chat to another agent. By default, the ability to add hidden messages is disabled. - [Redirecting the dialog to another agent](https://rox.chat/kb/for-agents/online-work-with-visitors/redirect-dialog.html): You can redirect the dialog with the visitor to another agent right during the conversation - for example, to a product specialist that the visitor is interested in. The agent must have an online status in the Chat Platform. - [Selecting a website visitor from the list and starting a dialog](https://rox.chat/kb/for-agents/online-work-with-visitors/select-visitor-start.html): To start a dialog with a visitor, follow these steps: - [Sending a file to the visitor](https://rox.chat/kb/for-agents/online-work-with-visitors/send-file-to-visitor.html): The Chat Platform service allows you to exchange files (images, documents) in a dialogue between the agent and the visitor. When uploading a file to the dialogue, it is necessary to take into account the features that will be discussed in this article. - [Sending conversation to agent`s email address](https://rox.chat/kb/for-agents/online-work-with-visitors/send-to-agents-email.html): At any point during communication with the visitor, you can send the conversation history to the agent's email address (not only your own, but also that of any of your colleagues). The agent does not have to be online on the Chat Platform service. To send the conversation content, open the Agent's Workspace page and in the chat interface with the visitor, click the icon with the image of the envelope, highlighted in red in the following illustration: - [User redirect to another site](https://rox.chat/kb/for-agents/online-work-with-visitors/teleport-visitor.html): Sometimes, it's hard for a user to find the information or functionality they need on a website. A Chat Platform service agent can determine what the visitor requires and redirect them to the necessary page, which will open on its own, without their involvement. - [Installing the Chat Platform Widget on Your Website](https://rox.chat/kb/for-agents/install-button.html): In the first step, you will embed the HTML code for the Chat Platform service on your website. As a result, a button to call an agent and/or chatbot will appear on your website's pages. - [Handling Offline Requests](https://rox.chat/kb/for-agents/work-with-offline-requests.html): The Chat Platform has the capability to handle offline user inquiries. The status of the inquiry (online or offline) depends on two states of the conversation - the start state and the current state. These states can either match or differ. ## For Developers - [Message Kinds and Subkinds](https://rox.chat/kb/dev/basic-objects/message-types.html): Both agent and visitor messages and service messages within the Rox.Chat service are categorized into a number of kinds and subkinds. - [Life of chat](https://rox.chat/kb/dev/basic-objects/life-of-chat.html): Below is the chat life cycle diagram. This cycle is a finite automaton, i.e., the chat has a series of states (states) and rules for transitioning between states. Transitions occur when events (events) arise and a number of conditions are met. Accordingly, the main attribute of the chat, determining the stage of the life cycle, is the state (state). The transition graph between the states of this finite automaton is presented in the illustration, with the states that the chat can take indicated in colored blocks, and the events occurring with the chat in white. - [Authorized Client Identification](https://rox.chat/kb/dev/identification/): The Authorized Client Identification subsection contains articles on the logic of how identification works in the system, as well as an explanation of the principles of visitor identifiers and the visitor field calculator needed to calculate the hash. - [Authorized Client Identification v2.0](https://rox.chat/kb/dev/identification/id-2-0.html): To transfer information about a visitor authorized on the site and further display it in the interface of the agent Rox.Chat you need to add the following javascript code to the pages of the site: - [Authorized Client Identification v1.0](https://rox.chat/kb/dev/identification/id-1-0.html): To transfer information about the visitor authorized on the site and its further display in the agent interface of the Rox.Chat service it is necessary to add the following javascript code to the site pages: - [Visitor Identifiers](https://rox.chat/kb/dev/identification/visitor-ids.html): In order to identify visitors in the system and link their requests, Rox.Chat provides the possibility for a visitor to have three different identifiers: - [Visitor Fields Calculator](https://rox.chat/kb/dev/identification/visitor-fields-calculator.html): This page contains the visitor fields calculator, where you can calculate the checksum (hash) for the fields you specify using one of three algorithms: - [Chat Event Handlers](https://rox.chat/kb/dev/chat-handlers.html): In this article, the mechanism for connecting external handlers for events occurring in the chat via the HTTP interface is described. Handlers allow configuring integration with external systems (CRM and others). Using webhooks, Rox.Chat sends the client system information about the main actions that occur in the system when processing chats, and this mechanism is essentially a "reverse API". - [Chat Router](https://rox.chat/kb/dev/chat-router.html): The term "router" refers to the ability to connect an external chat router, separate from Rox.Chat - a service that determines which agent or department should handle the chat. Immediately after creation and before the automatic distribution of the chat, its information is first sent from Rox.Chat to this router, which then decides where to direct the chat. - [How to Automatically Open the Chat Upon Page Load](https://rox.chat/kb/dev/open-chat-on-load.html): If you find it necessary to have the chat with an agent automatically open for visitors upon loading the site, follow the instructions below. - [How to Make a Link a Chat Start Button](https://rox.chat/kb/dev/link-button-start-chat.html): To make any link (in the web version) a button to start a chat, you need to add two classes to this link - roxchat_button and roxchat_basic_button. Example: - [Installing Rox.Chat on a Website in an iframe](https://rox.chat/kb/dev/iframe.html): To embed the Rox.Chat service chat window in an iframe on a website, you need to: - [Rox.Chat CRM postMessage Interface](https://rox.chat/kb/dev/postmessage.html): To exchange information between Rox.Chat, embedded through an iframe into another web interface (usually a CRM), and this CRM, the window.postMessage() mechanism is used. postMessage allows you to send events between the parent window of the CRM and the embedded Agent Workspace, as well as exchange commands and perform some actions in the CRM from the Agent Workspace, without using the CRM interface itself. - [Google analytics](https://rox.chat/kb/dev/google-analytics.html) ## For Admins - [Source Data Filters](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/statistics/filters.html): This section allows you to choose which portion of the accumulated statistical data will be presented in tables and charts. - [Introduction to Reporting](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/statistics/introduction.html): The Chat Platform reporting module offers a wide range of capabilities for processing accumulated information about the service usage and the performance of agents on the website for analytics and optimization purposes. - [Missed Dialogs](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/statistics/missed.html): The term Missed actually refers to two different metrics: missed dialogs in general and missed dialogs for specific agents. - [Reporting Module](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/statistics/stats-en.html) - [Table Reports](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/statistics/table-reports.html): In this section, statistical data is presented in the form of table reports. - [System Login](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/administrative-interface.html): To start working in the Chat Platform Control Panel, follow these steps: - [Staff Activity](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/agent-activity.html): Monitoring staff activity is one tool for tracking their working time. Suppose the Dashboard allows you to track the activity and efficiency of staff at the current moment/over the last 24 hours. In that case, this tool will help analyze activity over any time frame. - [Broadcasts](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/broadcast.html): The interface allows you to set up a broadcast on any communication channel, excluding the WatsApp channel. This article contains a description of the Broadcasts interface, as well as instructions on how to work with it. - [Features and Limitations](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/channels-functions.html): Chat Platform offers many functions for agents to use while chatting with customers. However, when it comes to communication channels through which users submit their requests, it is sometimes found that certain channels may not support some features. This is beyond the control of Chat Platform's staff. Therefore, for your convenience, the availability of certain communication channel features and limitations on field lengths are described in this article. - [Chat Skill-Based Routing](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/chat-assignment-modes.html): Chat Platform supports two types of chat routing: manual and automatic routing. - [Closing Dialogues](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/closing-dialogs.html): Closing plays an important role in the life cycle of dialogues. With default settings, when an agent closes a dialogue, it transitions to a special closed_by_agent status. If at this stage the agent or visitor writes in it again, the dialogue will be reopened under the same number. If this is not done, only after a certain time will the dialogue take on the closed status, i.e., it will be finally closed (you can read more about this timeout here). Meanwhile: - [Departments](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/dept.html): To optimize the process of distributing chats among agents and bots, there is an option to create departments. Departments are a mechanism for grouping agents, available in the Control Panel. For effective use of this mechanism, it is recommended to create multiple locations and set a default department for each of them. Depending on which location the visitor contacts, the inquiry will go to that department. - [Dialog Visibility](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/dialogs-visibility.html): To reduce the load on agents and on the server, in particular, the Chat Platform includes limits for dialog and visitor visibility. These limits allow hiding dialogs and visitors in the agent's interface if their number exceeds the set value. - [High Priority Pages (URLs)](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/high-priority-urls.html): In some cases, agents are required to process visitor inquiries more promptly, especially when they are on certain pages of the organization's website where the Chat Platform widget is installed (for example, the customer support section page). In these situations, the administrator can set up Priority Pages - inquiries coming from visitors on the priority pages of the site will be highlighted with color in the Agent Workspace to attract the agents' attention. - [Reassignment of Specialized Control Keys in Agent Workspace](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/hotkeys-binding.html): In the Agent Workspace of the Chat Platform service, there is the ability to use hotkeys and their combinations to perform specialized actions. You can find information about the standard layout in this article. - [Adding a Chat Platform Button to an Email](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/install-button-email.html): This article shows how to embed a Chat Platform button into your HTML email message. As a result, the recipient of the email will be able to navigate to a chat with your agent. - [Installing the Chat Platform Widget on Your Website](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/install-button.html): In the first step, you will embed the HTML code for the Chat Platform service on your website. As a result, a button to call an agent and/or chatbot will appear on your website's pages. - [Language Settings](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/languages.html): In the Chat Platform service, there are several language settings that allow you to easily adapt it to your needs. The default language is set in General Settings, under the Main Interface Language setting. This language will be used throughout the service, both from the agent's side and the client's side. Currently, the following languages are available: - [Company Logo in Chat Header](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/logo-of-company.html): The Chat Platform service allows you to easily upload or change your company's logo, which is displayed on the right in the chat widget header. This can be done in General Settings. However, to make it fully align with your chat appearance preferences, there are a few points to consider. - [Phone Number Mask](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/phone-number-mask.html): In the Chat Platform service, you can work with phone number masks to collect a visitor's contact information. - [Queues in Agent Workspace](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/queues.html): Queues play a significant role in the Chat Platform service. Unlike sections, users don't see them directly, but they determine the order of handling inquiries. A general queue for incoming inquiries is displayed in a similarly-named section. This general queue includes various other queues, each consisting of dialogues in either queue or offline_queue status, linked uniquely with department-language-offline status, and not assigned to an agent. In other words, each language in every department has two queues: online and offline inquiries. - [Ratings](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/rate.html): By default, clients can rate the agent with whom they have chatted. The settings rate_operator (allows rating the agent) and show_visitor_rate_operator_button (makes the button for rating the agent visible) are responsible for this option, and they are enabled by default. If desired, support can disable them. A rating request is issued under one of the following conditions: - [Registration of Agents and Assignment of Supervisors](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/registration-agents-and-supervisors.html) - [Role and Access Rights Management System](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/roles.html): This article outlines the rules that dictate the powers users have over the main system objects on the Chat Platform depending on their role. - [Chat Routing Between Agents and Bots on the Chat Platform](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/routing-chats-between-agents-and-bots.html): Inquiries coming into the system can be handled by either agents or bots. The logic of chat distribution between agents is detailed in the article about chat distribution algorithms. Despite the fact that every bot created is always linked to an agent's account, which is recommended to be created separately for each bot (see the article about Adding a bot), there are certain peculiarities affecting the distribution of a chat to either a bot or a "live" agent. - [Time schedule](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/schedule.html): The administrator can set up a weekly time schedule (working hours) for agents. - [Automatic Invitations](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/setting-lead-generation-and-auto-invitation.html): At this stage, the administrator edits the list of automatic invitations on the Automatic Invitations page. - [Features of the "Start Chat" Functionality in Communication Channels](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/start-chat-features.html): The Chat Platform service provides agents with the ability to reopen closed chats using the Start Chat button from the chat history. - [List of Timeouts](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/time-outs-list.html): The operation of the Chat Platform service is influenced by a series of timeouts, i.e., time durations after which a specific event occurs from a certain moment. Below is a list of these timeouts. All values are of integer type and are specified in seconds unless otherwise stated. If a timeout has a value of 0, the option will not work. Also, please note that if mandatory category setting is enabled, the dialog cannot close by timeout. Instead, a category selection window will be displayed, and only when the agent selects it will the dialog close. - [Canned Responses](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/tips.html): Canned responses enable an agent to quickly select a pre-prepared answer with minimal keystrokes while communicating with a visitor. This feature proves handy as visitors often approach with typical, frequently asked questions, and some answers can be universal. - [Visitor Geolocation](https://rox.chat/kb/for-admins/visitor-location.html): The Chat Platform can display visitor geolocation information based on their IP address using geotargeting services. ## Mobile Development - [Rox.Chat Mobile SDK](https://rox.chat/kb/mobile/sdk/): This section is dedicated to Rox.Chat Mobile SDK - a client library for mobile application developers that allows embedding functionality of the Rox.Chat system. - [Recommendations for Using Rox.Chat Mobile SDK](https://rox.chat/kb/mobile/sdk/recommendations-of-usage.html): This article describes the most common problems encountered when developing/using a mobile application based on Rox.Chat Mobile SDK, their solutions, and useful recommendations for developers. - [Integration into Android Mobile Applications](https://rox.chat/kb/mobile/sdk/android-integration.html): This article provides detailed instructions on how to integrate Rox.Chat Mobile SDK into your Android application. - [Integration into iOS Mobile Applications](https://rox.chat/kb/mobile/sdk/ios-integration.html): This article provides information about integrating Rox.Chat Mobile SDK version 3 into your iOS app. - [Rox.Chat Mobile SDK Reference Guide for Android Applications](https://rox.chat/kb/mobile/sdk/android-sdk-handbook.html): The revision corresponds to the current version of the Mobile SDK for Android. - [Rox.Chat Mobile SDK Reference Guide for iOS Applications](https://rox.chat/kb/mobile/sdk/ios-sdk-handbook.html): The revision corresponds to the current version of Mobile SDK 3 for iOS. - [Additional Features of Rox.Chat Mobile SDK for Android](https://rox.chat/kb/mobile/sdk/android-additional-features.html): This article contains features of Rox.Chat Mobile SDK for Android that are not available by default.
