Rox.Chat v2025.1 brings a set of powerful features that simplify agents’ workflows and make customer service faster and more effective. Here’s a breakdown of what’s new.
1. Chat Hold
Agents can now put a chat on hold while they gather additional information. This prevents premature chat closures and ensures a timely, more accurate response.

2. Improved Visitor Routing
Chats can now be routed based on visitor segments. For example, foreign visitors will be automatically connected to agents who speak their language.

3. WhatsApp GupShup Support
WhatsApp chats now support interactive messages, making it easier for customers to respond quickly using buttons.

4. Bot Bypass for Repeat Requests
When a customer contacts support again shortly after their last chat, they’ll be routed straight to an agent—skipping the bot entirely.

5. Enhanced Push Notifications
Android notifications now use the new Firebase Cloud Messaging API.
You can now hide the sender’s name and message text in push notifications. Rox.Chat now supports Huawei Push Kit for notifications on Huawei devices.

6. More Language Support
The interface is now available in German, French, and Italian.

7. Microsoft SQL Server Support
Rox.Chat can now integrate with Microsoft SQL Server databases.

8. Technology Updates
  • Server backend upgraded to Python 3.10.
  • Client interface now powered by Angular 16 and Node.js 20.
  • Chat backend updated to Tornado 6.4.0 and SQLAlchemy 2.0.
  • Visitor frontend now runs on jQuery 3.
9. Automatic Password Expiration
Passwords now expire every 90 days to enhance security. Users will be prompted to reset them.

10. Simplified Interface
  • Communication Channels and Integrations now have separate menus.
  • Report Builder is now under Analytics.
  • Policies and Roles have moved to the Team menu.
  • Updated Chat History interface.
  • Agents can now see their account time zone in their work schedule settings.
11. Improved Chat Widget
The widget can now auto-open on a webpage using the open-chat-roxchat parameter.
The widget button has been redesigned to be more compact.

12. New Statistics Module
  • Version 2 of the statistics module is now the default.
  • Optimized ClickHouse queries enable faster report generation.
  • New metrics added, including operator rating composition.
  • Older reports and data sources are now read-only and will be removed in the next release.

13. API and Account Settings
New /file API endpoint for retrieving chat files.
Improved configuration options: chat hold timeouts, typing tracking, auto chat closure.

  • Enhanced Redis data storage reduces memory usage and load times.

16. Deprecated Features
  • IInternet Explorer is no longer supported.

  • Built-in spell checking has been replaced with a new spell-check microservice.
  • Support for Debian 10.10, RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu 18.04 is discontinued. The platform now runs on Debian 12.5.

17. Additional Enhancements
  • Customer surveys are now enabled by default in corporate plans.
  • Improved amoCRM integration.
  • Excel export now supports all interface languages.
