Language Settings

In the Chat Platform service, there are several language settings that allow you to easily adapt it to your needs. The default language is set in General Settings, under the Main Interface Language setting. This language will be used throughout the service, both from the agent's side and the client's side. Currently, the following languages are available:

  • English

  • Hebrew

If you want to fine-tune the languages used in the service, you need to enable the Multilingualism setting in General Settings, under the Additional Features section. After that, you can set:

  1. Interface Language (in the agent's specific settings), on which the agent/administrator's interface will be. This language will have priority over the Main Interface Language. You can set it separately for each agent. The same three languages that are available with multilingualism turned off are available here.

  2. Languages that the Agent can communicate. The agent will receive dialogues only in these languages. Currently available are:

  6. Chinese

  7. Bulgarian

  8. German

  9. Greek

  10. Spanish

  11. Ukrainian

  12. French

  13. Hungarian

  14. Italian

  15. Polish

  16. Portuguese

  17. Russian

  18. Romanian

If no language is selected, it's considered that the agent knows all of them.

Dialogue Language (in the Buttons and Locations menu), which will be the chat interface for the visitor. It's assigned to dialogues that are created in the corresponding placement. You can set the language separately for each location; it will have priority over the Main Interface Language.

The dialogue language is reflected in the history (allowing filtering dialogues by a specific language), and answer templates are loaded in it (they don't depend on the agent's interface language). If a dialogue mistakenly goes to an agent who doesn't know the corresponding language, they can redirect it to a group of agents who do.

For sending emails to administrators with statistics data, only English language are currently available, regardless of the selected interface language. At the moment, the choice of a specific language is determined by the lang_in_stats_by_mail parameter of account settings (account config).
